Penggunaan "Allah"

I was at the Church that was burnt in Desa Melawati this afternoon. There was a crowd there consisting mostly of church members and their pastor. What striked me was that there was no outward show of anger, no hysterical chanting of retaliation or any other negative actions. Instead I found that those who were there felt only sadness that such a thing could happen in our beloved country. During the interview with Datuk Ng Yen Yen, the church's pastor said something like 'we forgive them....'. It nearly brought tears to my eyes. His beloved church was burnt to the ground...but instead of stirring up the emotions of his flocks, he appealed for everyone to be calm and asked all to forgive those who had done the damage. This is what I called 'the true teaching'. By the way, I am not a Christian. I am a student of the Buddha. Buddha taught us the same thing......Peace-loving, tolerance, and above all respect for others' beliefs. I salute you Pastor Ong(?) and your church members. You showed them what 'true religion' is all about. My prayer is with you all.... GOD bless.

[ This is a comment that I found when I was looking for news in Malaysiakini ]

Today, we've heard of many cases involving the usage of the word "Allah" by other religions.
The bombing of churches, the setting of fire to churches and later in the afternoon, the smashing of cars bearing roseries, christian bumper stickers and etc.

I don't know how the rest of you are reacting to this situation.
I've heard many different views on how to handle the situation, from standing up for your faith and wearing the cross proudly to being careful when you go out and taking off all evidence that you're a Christian from your car..

From the comment at the beginning of the post, the first thing that really hit me was that the commenter was a Buddhist but he readily admitted that Christianity was "the true teaching".
For all we know, this could be a HUGE door that God's opening for us to share the gospel with others.
Through our actions, through what we say and do, through how we settle issues. :)
God told us to LOVE your neighbours as you love yourself and the bible talks about forgiving each other.
Let's not tear down the other races who we think are the cause of the issue but forgive them and keep praying that things will settle down soon.

I think that it was mentioned in the previous post that in the past year, there were prophecies of revival happening in 2010.
And since this is the year of God's favor, as many churches have also prophecied, of course Satan would want to do something to cause us to lose focus!
So whatever happens, don't forget that God is in control of everything.

Also,
Kudos to you if you didn't take of your cross pendant you wear around your neck or you didn't remove any Christian bumper stickers from your car..
But don't purposely go around telling people you're a Christian and asking them to "bring it" cos you're not afraid.
That's...not very clever. =P
BE WISE! :D

Anyway, have a great weekend.
See you back at school on Monday. :)

CF meetings start THIS FRIDAAAAY! :D
BE EXCITED! (;

Love,
ROAR:)
